He studied for eight years at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport to complete medical school and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. For the following three years Dr. Pizarro received Fellowship training in Pelvic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, Arizona. There he gained experience in advanced gynecologic laparoscopy, management of complex gynecologic conditions, and female pelvic reconstruction.
At the Mayo Clinic Dr. Pizarro presented lectures to gynecologic specialists, allied health and nursing professionals on topics ranging from surgical anatomy to wound healing to the care of postoperative gynecologic patients. His training has included instruction from specialists in colorectal surgery, urology, and pelvic physical therapy. A woman's best health depends on highly trained & truly focused medical care.
