Cystoscopy allows a Gynecologic Surgeon to look inside the bladder in a minimally invasive way. A small lighted scope is placed inside the bladder to evaluate its appearance. This procedure can help reach a diagnosis for women with bladder problems and urinary incontinence or with disorders of pelvic support. Cystoscopy can be performed quickly as an outpatient without anesthesia. It is very well-tolerated. Dr. Pizarro often recommends this procedure in conjunction with urodynamics.
